This comprehensive guide covers how to set up Project Feature Templates, link them to Conditional Checklists, attach them to Project Templates, and manage them on live construction jobs.

- Click the blue + button in the top right corner of the Project Features panel.
- In the Create New Project Features Template modal:

- Enter your desired Template Name (e.g., Project Features).
- Click Create Project Features Template.
2. Add Features to Your Template

- From the Project Features list on the left, select your newly created template (e.g., Project Features).
- On the right panel under Project Features> Features, click the blue + Add Feature button.
- In the Add Feature modal:
- Feature Name: Enter the name of the feature (e.g., Grotto).
- Field Type: Select the response format from the dropdown (e.g., Yes/No).
- Assign or Create a Group:
- To create a new group, click the + icon next to the Group field.
- Type the group name (e.g., Pool Features) into the New group popup and click Add.
- Confirm that your new group is selected in the Group dropdown.
- Click Create Feature to save.

3. Verify Your Feature Setup
Your new feature will appear in the features table under your selected template with its assigned Feature Name (Grotto), Group (Pool Features), and Type (Yes/No).

📋 Part 2: Creating Feature-Based Checklists
Tie checklist templates directly to specific Project Features so they only trigger on jobs with those features enabled.
1. Create a Feature-Linked Checklist Template

- Navigate to CUSTOM TEMPLATES > Checklists in the left sidebar menu.
- Click the blue + button to create a new checklist.
- In the modal, switch to the Features tab at the top.
- Under Applies To, search for and check the box for your target feature (e.g., Grotto under Pool Features).
- Click Create Checklist.

2. Add the Parent Checklist Item

- Select your new checklist (e.g., Grotto) from the list on the left, then click + Add Item.
- Configure the Item tab:
- Item Name: Enter the main question/task (e.g., Verified steel layout for grotto, including rock ledge (6/12 minimum)).
- Field Type: Select Yes/No.
- Enable the toggle for This item is required when completing checklist.
- Configure the Features tab:
- Ensure Grotto is checked under Applies To.
- Click Create Item.

3. Add the Dependent Checklist Item

- Click + Add Item again to create the follow-up item that should conditionally appear.
- Configure the Item tab:
- Item Name: Enter the follow-up prompt (e.g., Date Steel Layout Verified?).
- Field Type: Select Date.
- Enable This item is required when completing checklist.
- Configure the Features tab:
- Select Grotto under Applies To.
- Click Create Item.

🔗 Part 3: Linking Dependent Items & Verifying Setup

Configure the logic so child items dynamically appear based on specific parent answers.
1. Assign Dependent Items to Logic Conditions

- In the Edit Checklist Item modal for your parent item (Verified steel layout for grotto…), click on the Dependents tab.
- Under When “Yes”:, click the dropdown and select the child item that should appear when this condition is met (e.g., Date Steel Layout Verified?).
- Under When “No”:, leave as No dependent items (or assign a separate item if needed).
- Click Update Item to save the dependency rule.
2. Verify Checklist Dependencies in the Summary Table

Return to the main Checklist Items table for your checklist (e.g., Grotto) and review the columns:
- Item Name & Type: Confirms parent (Yes/No) and child (Date) items.
- Applies To: Displays the Grotto tag.
- Dependencies Column:
- Parent Item Tag: Shows a gold indicator (▼ Verified steel… (1)), signifying it controls 1 dependent item.
- Child Item Tag: Shows a blue indicator (▲ Verified steel… – Yes), confirming it will dynamically reveal only when the user selects “Yes” on the parent item.
⚙️ Part 4: Assigning Feature & Checklist Templates to a Project Template

Attach your features and checklists to your primary Project Template so all future construction jobs automatically inherit these dynamic rules.

- Assign Features: Open the Features dropdown and select your Project Features template (e.g., Project Features).
- Click Update Template to save your changes.
3. Verify Template Configuration
Return to the main Project Templates screen. The card summary for your project template will display updated counters (e.g., Checklists: 7, Features: 1), confirming both are active.
📱 Part 5: Managing Features & Dynamic Checklists on Active Projects
See how project features dynamically trigger or suppress associated checklists on live construction jobs.
1. Activate a Project Feature

- Navigate to CONSTRUCTION > Projects and select an active project (e.g., Alittle, Liv).
- On the General tab, locate the Project Features panel on the right.
- Click the edit icon (✎) on the Project Features card.

- Fill in the date and click Save.

3. Deactivating Features & Automated Checklist Suppression

- Return to the General tab under Project Features.
- Edit the features panel and uncheck the SELECTED box (Selected: No), then click Save.
